BCSC is no longer offering the Technical Courses, and is utilizing the Cheer Canada courses. 

These online courses are asynchronous (you don't have to do them at a specific time). 

These courses are suitable for coaches who would like to understand the body mechanics and physical literacy to coach skills. 

This course covers:

• Technical information to teach a skill
• Progressions and Drills
• Physical Literacy
• Biomechanics

This course does NOT include:

• Credentialing 
• First Aid training
• NCCP courses

This course is suitable for young and new coaches who are interested in learning the fundamentals of coaching.

This course covers:

• Coaching ethics and best practices in Cheer
• Planning an effective and safe practice for all ages
• Talking to parents
• How to begin your BCSC Certification process (including First Aid, Credentialing and NCCP Courses)

This course does NOT include:

• Credentialing 
• First Aid training
• NCCP courses

Important to know before you register:

• You must be 12-13 to take this course (age as of December 31, 2025). 
• There is online self-paced learning that must be completed prior to the Zoom session.

There will be a Summer Session and Fall Session offered for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
