BC Judges Training

This one day course will cover the following topics:

1. Introduction to Scoring
2. Professionalism
3. Building
4. Tumbling
5. Overall
6. Deductions
7. Scholastic

To take this course, you must be 18+, have athlete or coach experience in cheerleading, and plan to write the Cheer Canada Judges exams in the next few months. 

This will be an in-person session at: 
Creekside Community Centre - Multipurpose Room 11 Athletes Way, Vancouver, BC V5Y 0B1

9:00 am - 4:45 pm

* NOTE: This is not training for coaches or parents who wish to learn more about the scoring system. This session will focus on preparing adjudicators for the exams and season ahead.

There will be a $20 charge for this course for BC residents, as it is subsidized by BC Sport Cheer. Non-BC residents will be charged $50.

Learning Objectives

During this session, participants will:

• Go over how to become a judge
• Review the role of a judge, e.g. concepts of judging score sheets etc.
• Discuss the different options for specialization.
• Get their questions answered during the Q&A.
