The BCSC is proud to have partnered with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture & Sport and ViaSport to offer the opportunity for BC athletes to be receive high school credit for competing as athletes within the sport of Cheerleading.
What is the External Sport Credentials Program?
This program aims to provide opportunities for students in BC to earn elective credits towards high school graduation by successfully reaching a standard of sport excellence as an athlete, coach or official.
Am I eligible?
BCSC has worked with ViaSport and Sport Policy Consultants to create the minimum criteria.
Athlete Level 1 UXSA 10 (4 credits)
Athlete Level 2 UXSA 11 (4 credits)
Athlete Level 3 UXSA 12 (4 credits)

How do I apply for high school credit?
To receive credit, you must submit an official letter from BCSC stating you meet the requirements, and submit that to your high school counselor.

How do I prepare?
To qualify for the credentials, you must have a training plan and a training diary that documents your training of at least 100 hours at level. (i.e. July 13th - Team BC training camp- 6 hours, or July 10th Level 5 practice - 2 hours). You may not use lower level training towards this training diary.
You must have the supervision of an at-level coach supervising your training, and BCSC will verify your hours.
